Over the years, SK Construction has become known as a company that can do it all. We are also known throughout the community as a Specialty Contractor, specializing in concrete curbs and gutters, driveways and sidewalks.
Since the beginning, we have been one of the area's leading curb and gutter contractors with skilled people forming and pouring concrete in parking lots and subdivisions nearly every day.
In 1978, bolstered by a solid reputation in the concrete industry, we became one of the first companies in Southwest Ohio to purchase a slip-form curb and gutter machine. Production rates were astounding when compared with handformed crews.
It didn't take long to realize that pouring curb and gutter with machines was going to be a big part of our future. Early in 1987, SK purchased a second Gomaco Commaner III. That's when things really got busy. In one year alone, with two curb machines in almost constant use, we installed over 100 miles of curb and gutter. Since then, we have added two more Commander III Slip-Form pavers, and a Gomaco 3600 "tight radius" machine. The 3600 is capable of pouring curbs in radii as small as 3 feet, allowing us to be much more versatile in the parking lot market.
We take pride in our commitment to customer service and our record of being on the job as scheduled. When we say, "we'll be there," we will! We can handle most any job, large or small. We have done concrete work on major street widening, ODOT rehabilitation projects, subdivisions, and parking lots. Our exceptionally maintained fleet of equipment, coupled with an excellent group of laborers, operators, and cement masons will allow us to deliver quality service well into the future.
